Use: The paint will perform best when used on unplanned timber and it might not adhere to some treated timber. The paint does not adhere to surfaces previously painted with oil-based or acrylic latex paints. The moisture content of the wood should be less than 15%.

Coverage: Falu Rödfärg Paint covers an area of approx. 3m² per litre. One coat is usually sufficient although nail-heads and timber knots will most likely require a second coat. For best results repaint the surface after two years. Alternatively, it is possible to dilute Falu Rödfärg Paint with 10% - 20% water and paint one coat to prime the wood, following a second coat of undiluted paint.

Drying Time: Drying time for Falu Rödfärg Paint is 1 hour although heavy rains might cause it to run in the first few days after painting, so keep windows, doors, foundations or other details masked for a few days.

Storage: As a distemper, the paint will freeze in temperatures under 0°C so it should be kept from freezing. Do not paint if air temperature is less than 5°C, if there is a risk of frost, in strong sun-light or if the surface which is painted is wet.
